TTP Finance Controller Arrested, Arraigned in Court for Alleged Signature Forgery

The Finance Controller of Truck Transit Park Limited (PTT) Mr Olufemi Olowokere has been arrested and arraigned at the Lagos Magistrate Court on three count charges bothering on alleged forgery of the signature of Mr Temidayo Adeboye in a bank transaction.

Olowokere was arraigned on 16th of December 2022.

TTP is a logistics solution provider, working in partnership with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to manage the “Eto” electronic call-up system for trucks at Lagos Ports.

DAILY TREND recalls that for sometime now, there has been an ongoing battle for the soul of the company between former Managing Director, Mr Temidayo Adeboye and the Co-founder and current Managing Director, Mr Jama Onwubuariri over who should be the Managing Director.

According to the Police charge sheet sighted by DAILY TREND, the embattled TTP staff, Mr Olowokere allegedly forged Mr Adeboyes’ signature on a document;
“Deployment of enhanced cash management and Trade Solution first direct 2.0” with an alleged intent to defraud the company.

However, the Corporate Communication Manager for TTP, Mrs Nancy Nnamdi has confirmed that Mr Olowokere has since been granted bail and has returned to the office for his official duties.

Responding to enquires by our correspondent, Mrs Nancy said “We confirm that TTP finance controller (Not head of finance) was arrested on an allegation of forgery. The matter was charged to court less than 24 hours after his arrest.

“Following arraignment on Friday (16th December 2022) afternoon, he was immediately granted bail. His bail conditions were met the same day.

“He has now resumed work. We cannot comment further on the matter because it is now before the court” she said

Meanwhile, the Police charge sheet reads in part “That you Olufemi Olowokere ‘m’ being the head of Finance, Truck Transit Park ‘Limited, Apapa Lagos, on 16” day of June 2022 at the company premises Apapa Lagos in the Lagos magisterial district did conduct yourself in manner likely to cause breach of peace by forging the signature of one of the directors Temidayo Adeboye for transaction in the bank and thereby committed an offence Contrary and Punishable under Secton 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.

“COUNT Il: That you Olufemi Olowokere ‘m’, on the same date and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did with intent to defraud, knowingly forged the signature of one of the directors Temidayo Adeboye in a document titled deployment of enhanced cash management and trade solution first direct 2.0 to be used or acted upon as genuine knowing same to be false and thereby committed an offence Contrary to Section 363 and Punishable under Section 365 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigena 2015.

“COUNT Ill: That you Olufemi Olowokere ‘m’ on the 30th of June, 2022 at Lagos – State Police Command, Ikeja in the aforementioned Magisterial District did with intent to obstruct, prevent, pervert or defeat the course of justice by jumping Police Admunistrative bail and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under section 97 of the Criminal Law and Section 132 of the Administrative of Criminal Justice Act 2015 as amended”

The matter has now been adjourned for 16th of February 2023.
