TTP to Delete Trucks with Fake Tickets, Stickers from ETO Call-Up System

Truck Transit Parks Limited (TTP) technical partners of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on the electronic call-up system ETO, has warned that trucks peddling fake tickets and stickers would be deleted from its system.

In a public notice issued by TTP management on Thursday, the company informed that “We write to inform you of a recent directive issued by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) concerning the enforcement of compliance with the electronic call-up (eto) system tickets.

“After an extensive period of sensitization, which spans two weeks beginning on Wednesday, 7 February and ending on Wednesday, 21 February, 2024, it has been mandated that any truck that approaches the port gates with mismatched tickets, such as export trucks attempting to ingress with empty container tickets, or the use of fake or photocopied Minimum Safety Standard (MSS) stickers, will be subjected to the following penalties/sanctions:

1, First-time offenders: The truck and the transporter profile that booked and matched the truck (where they are different) would be disabled on the eto system for 90 days.

2. Repeat offenders: Those found to be in violation for a second time, will face permanent profile disablement on the éto system.

“This directive aims to ensure an unwavering commitment to uphold the integrity, efficiency, and safety standards governing port operations. By ensuring strict adherence to prescribed ticketing protocols, we collectively contribute to fostering a secure and streamlined operational environment within our ports.

“We encourage all stakeholders to rigorously comply with this directive, recognizing that failure to do so may result in significant penalties, including access delays and potential financial repercussions”
