Tin Can Customs Command Conducts Integrity Perception Survey, Partners WCO, PWC

The Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters, in collaboration with the World Customs Organization (WCO) and PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) is set to conduct an onsite Customs Integrity Perception Survey of the service.
The survey is expected to kick-start today, Friday, 4th April 2025 at Tincan Island Port Command.
According to a memo sighted by DAILY TREND, dated 28th March 2025, signed by the comand Public Relations Officer, Oscar Ivara, the primary objective of this survey is to assess and enhance the integrity within the Nigeria Customs Service and among stakeholders.
“The survey will help evaluate the ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability within the service, as well as identify challenges that may affect the effectiveness of Customs operations.
“This survey also aims to gather valuable feedback that will guide improvements in Customs procedures, enhance trust, and ensure the promotion of ethical practices in line with international best standards”
DAILY TREND gathered that the feedback collected from the survey will help shape future strategies, enhance stakeholder trust, and improve the overall performance of the customs.
The results will also inform policy adjustments and strengthen mechanisms against corruption.
