Five Star Logistics Terminal Resumes Vehicle Transfers to KLT Phase II
Effective September 11, 2024, Comet Shipping, operators of Five Star Logistics Terminals have announced that KLT Phase II Bonded Terminal has been designated for off-dock transfer operations for vehicles, containers, and general cargo under the Tin Can Island Customs Command.
This new development is expected to enhance trade facilitation and streamline the customs clearing process.
According to an official notification from Five Star Logistics Terminal, which manages the facility, cargo destined for transfer to Comet KLT Phase II will be securely transported by barge, with stringent security measures in place to ensure the safety of goods.
“In line with our commitment to facilitate trade, Comet KLT Phase II has been listed under the TinCan Island Customs Command, ensuring a smooth and efficient clearing process,” the statement read.
The terminal management also urged customers to nominate Comet KLT II as their preferred terminal for off-dock operations at least seven days prior to the vessel’s arrival. This lead time is necessary to complete all required customs documentation.
