Oyebamiji Cascades Ministerial Performance Bond to NIWA Staff

The Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) Mr Bola Oyebamiji has cascaded the performance bond earlier signed with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola to staff of the agency.

At the ceremony which held on Monday, Oyebamiji urged NIWA Staff to change the ugly and I indecorous narrative about the agency.

The bond was signed after a three-day retreat, themed “Repositioning National Inland Waterways Authority For Excellence,” designed for managers and workers of the agency.

Administering the bond and explaining the rationale behind it, Oyebamiji informed the participants that the signing of a performance bond is a commitment and dedication to attaining the agenda of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and realizing minister’s bond to the President.

Oyebamiji tasked the head of departments to do everything within their power to change the old, indecorous and negative narrative associated with the agency and bring prosperity to it, in particular and Nigeria, at large.

His words, “the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola and Dr. Magdalene Ajani respectively have signed performance bonds with President Bola Tinubu; and I afterwards signed a similar performance bond with the minister.

“So it is your turn now to sign the Performance Bond with me as we all must work together to achieve success and help Mr President achieve his lofty social covenant with the good people of Nigeria.”
