MWUN President General, Comrade Adeyanju Sets to Contest NLC Election

The President General of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) Comrade Adewale Adeyanju is contesting for Deputy National President of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC) in an election set to hold during the union’s 13th National Delegate Conference scheduled for 7th and 8th of February 2023.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the union’s media relations officer, Comrade Oniha Erazua, the MWUN President General would be slogging it out with three other candidates namely; Comrade Audi Titus Amba from the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) and Comrade Kabiru Ado Sanni from the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN)

The President of NLC position is however being contested unopposed by Comrade Joseph Ajaero from the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE)

DAILY TREND reports that Comrade Adeyanju was re-elected for a 4-years second term tenure in office during the union’s National Delegates Conference, held on 26th March 2021, in Lagos.
