ANLCA Crisis Takes a Twist as Court Restrains Tony Iju, SIFAX Group Boss Taiwo Afolabi, Others
…Restrains Them From Parading Themselves As “Owerri BOT”

A Federal High Court in Kano Judicial Division, Kano State, before his lordship, Hon Justice A. Lewis-Alagoa has issued an order of interim injunction, restraining President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Tony Nwabunike, key members of his National Executive Committee (NECOM) as well as Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi and other members who emerged winners in the controvertial Board of Trustees (BOT) election conducted in Owerri 2020 popularly known as “Owerri BOT”
A copy of the certified true copy of the SUIT N0.: FHC/KN /CS/ 79 /2021, issued on 25th of March and signed by the Court Registrar, Bello Nuhu Ahmed also restrained Tony Iju and others from taking any action or steps that is capable of harassing, intimidating, restraining or inhibiting Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha from acting as the recognised BOT Chairman of ANLCA.
The court also restrained the Owerri BOT from acting,signing or writing letters and parading themselves as Trustees of ANLCA.

The presiding Judge ordered that
“The 7th to 24th defendants and respondents either by themselves, their servants, privies, and agents or whosoever are restrained from acting,signing or writing letters and parading themselves as Trustees of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents pending the hearing and final determination of the Motion on Notice”
“That the Defendants/Respondents either by themselves, their servants, privies, and agents or whosoever howsoever are restrained in the interim from taking any action(s), step(s) or conducting themselves in any manner that is capable of harassing, intimidating, restraining or inhibiting the 2nd to 11th Plaintiffs and the other Trustees of the 1st Plaintiff registered with the ‘ 25th Defendant/Respondent as contained in the Certificate of Registration dated 16th January, 2020 from functioning as the Lawful Registered Trustees of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents pending the hearing and final determination of the Motion on Notice”
“That the matter is adjourned to 21st April, 2021 for Hearing”
The Alhaji Mustapha group in its prayers had also sought “an Order of the Honourable Court directing the Inspector General of Police through its officers, and all other Police formations and Commands and any other Law enforcement and Security agencies to secure and seal up the National Secretariat of the Asseciation of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents located at Dikko lnde House, Plot 347, Durbar Road, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos pending the hearing and final determination of the Motion on Notice” but this was not granted.
