According to eye witnesses the thugs stormed the NPA headquarters and set ablaze every vehicle parked inside the car park, including all NPA official buses, as well as personal vehicles.

The headquarters building that was only renovated 10 years ago with N5.1billion was also set ablaze. The workers were reportedly chased out by the hoodlums before setting the building on fire.

Soldiers were however mobilised to the place to stop the looting of offices by the thugs, even as the NPA fire service directly opposite the headquarters swung into action and contained the fire.

  1. It’s very unfortunate that what started as peaceful protest against the ignoble activities of FSARS and other security operatives in nation has turned out to become a monster that has claimed many lives, and the massacre at Lekki tollgate Lagos triggered the burning and distractions.
Coming to touching the NPA building, I don’t know the connection the NPA building has with F,SARS that would have warranted the attack on NPA, or could it be a deliberate plan to attack the center of excellence ?

I sympathize with the family of the victims, While I call on the authorities at the Local, State and Federal level to do the needful, by addressing the demands of our youths. Government should roll out program or project that would provide reasonable job to our youths, idle hands they say is the workshop of the devil, create Farm settlement at every Local government. All Security operatives should not be seen as terror, rather, they should be more civil on civilians, they can be more of corrective than punitive without compromising their duties.
Government should also review policies that are inimical to peaceful /coexistence.
Government should embark on more vigorous orientation campaign that would change the mindset and mentality of our youths, more of reorientation campaign than more creating more Taskforce . May God bless Nigerian in Nigeria.
