The Igbogbo community in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State will on Sunday, November 1, 2026, witness a double celebration as maritime industry stakeholder and businessman, Alhaji Sulaiman Ayokunle, is conferred with the title of Alakoso-Adeen of Igbogbo Central Mosque, alongside the official commissioning of his multi-million-naira Sula Royal Premium Complex Limited.

The twin events are expected to attract traditional rulers, political leaders, maritime industry stakeholders, business executives, members of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), religious leaders, family members, friends and residents of Igbogbo and neighbouring communities.

The chieftaincy ceremony will hold at 9:00 a.m. at Igbogbo Central Mosque, 7 Odofin Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, while the reception and commissioning of the Sula Royal Premium Complex will take place at noon at Nos. 41, 43 and 45 Oba Adeboruwa Road, Igbogbo.

The conferment of the Alakoso-Adeen title on Ayokunle is in recognition of his contributions to the propagation of Islam, philanthropy, community development and service to humanity.

A respected son of Igbogbo, Ayokunle has, over the years, supported religious activities and community initiatives, while extending assistance to the less privileged and contributing to the development of his immediate environment.

Beyond his religious and philanthropic engagements, Ayokunle has established himself in Nigeria’s maritime and logistics sector through Sula Marine Services Ltd, a licensed customs agency and logistics company based in Apapa, Lagos, with interests in freight forwarding, customs clearance and supply-chain services.

He also serves as Special Assistant on Media to the National President of ANLCA, Mr Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, a position that further reflects his involvement in the affairs of the freight forwarding and maritime industry.

The commissioning of the Sula Royal Premium Complex is expected to mark another milestone in his business career while opening up new opportunities in hospitality, entertainment, event management, leisure and wellness services in Ikorodu Division.

Located along Oba Adeboruwa Road, the complex comprises three major sections designed to cater to different categories of customers and events.

The Sula Royal Hall, the main event centre, has a seating capacity of 1,000 guests and features a VVIP section for distinguished guests. The facility is designed to accommodate social functions, corporate events and other gatherings, with provisions for patrons seeking a premium event experience.

The Sula Royal Premium section offers wellness and hospitality services, including a gym, spa, kitchen and grill, a special family buffet and office facilities.

The Sula Funcity section, on the other hand, is designed for recreation and entertainment, with games for adults and children, a swimming pool and a bar.

To support its operations and provide convenience for users, the complex is equipped with a dedicated transformer, standby generator and inverter system, as well as a large parking area for guests.

The development is expected to contribute to commercial activities along Adeboruwa Road and provide residents of Igbogbo and the wider Ikorodu Division with a venue for social events, recreation, fitness and hospitality services.

Ayokunle said the facilities were designed to provide services comparable to standards available at entertainment and hospitality centres in Nigeria and abroad.

The grand opening will be attended by prominent traditional rulers and other dignitaries. The Royal Fathers of the Day are His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusegun Oludolapo Ogunye, the Olotumokun of Abigi Kingdom.

High Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, SAN, the Odofin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Baba Oba of Igbogbo Kingdom and Chairman of MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, will chair the occasion.

The Special Guests of Honour are Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, and Mr Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, National President of ANLCA.

Other distinguished guests expected at the event include Prince Olusegun Oduntan, National Vice President of ANLCA, and Omo Oba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area, alongside other political leaders, maritime stakeholders and community leaders.

Entertainment at the reception will be provided by Fuji music star Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, while DJ Kulet, Chief Executive Officer of Kulet Academy, and MC Prince Oladega Ibrahim will also be on hand to entertain guests.

The double celebration brings together Ayokunle’s contributions to the maritime industry, religious service and private enterprise, while highlighting his investment in his home community.
