Chukwumalu Secures Befitting Secretariat for ANLCA Apapa Chapter, As Emenike Takes Tour
The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Apapa chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman, Chief Emeka Chukwumalu has secured a befitting secretariat for the association after several years of homelessness.
This is even as the National President of the Association, Emenike Nwokeoji on Wednesday took an inspection of the secretariat facility ahead of its official commissioning.
The ANLCA President took the opportunity to pay an official visit to the Customs Area Controller, Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa command, Compt Emmanuel Oshoba whiles commending the cordial relationship between members of the association and the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.
Emenike during the visit noted that the synergy between the Apapa Customs command and the ANLCA Apapa chapter has fostered smooth operational efficiency, and improved performance at the nation’s premier port.
The National President further commended Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba for his leadership and support, particularly in the area of assisting chapter in securing the conducive secretariat, and assured that ANLCA will continue to collaborate with the command for the overall good of the port system.
Welcoming the delegation, Comptroller Oshoba expressed readiness to engage with freight forwarders on any issues, while appreciating the proactive leadership of ANLCA.
Apapa chapter chairman, Chief Emeka Chukwumalu, highlighted the strategic location of the new ultra-modern secretariat near the port and described the President’s visit as a morale booster for members.
Former chapter chairman and Western Zone Coordinator, Sir John Ofobike, urged members to put election differences aside and work together for collective success. He emphasized that unity is essential for the chapter’s progress.
Former Acting President, Chief Pius Ujubuonu, acknowledged that the Apapa chapter of the association was moving progressively in the direction under the leadership of Chief Emeka Chukwumalu.
This is even as he called for further cooperation and coordination between the chapter and the National Executive Committee (NECOM) expecially in terms of association programmes.
The visit drew a large turnout of national officers, chapter executives, and members, underscoring its significance for the association’s unity and continued cooperation with the Customs Command
