ANLCA Secures 4-Days Waiver for Members At Tin Can Port After Prolonged Vehicle Clearance Stoppage

Following a recent stoppage in vehicle clearance, the Tin Can chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has announced a resolution that includes a four-day free period for affected vehicles and an agreement for weekend operations.
According to a statement from Comrade Onome Joy Monije, the chapter’s Publicity Secretary, ANLCA Chairman Prince Olawale Mathew Cole and his executive team met with the management team of Five Star Logistics Terminal on August 7th to address the issue.
The meeting successfully secured a four-day grace period for two vessels impacted by the clearance stoppage.
According to the ANLCA spokesperson, the new arrangement, which takes effect immediately, also includes a commitment from management to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
This measure aims to expedite the clearance process and prevent future disruptions.
“This is indeed good news, and we appreciate the chairman’s efforts in finding a solution to this challenge,” Monije said in the announcement, encouraging members to take advantage of the new arrangement.
The ANLCA team also visited the popular car park C to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure a seamless flow of operations at the terminal.
