CILT Lagos, Next Generation in ‘Catch Them Young’ Initiative for Secondary School Students

The leadership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Lagos Branch and Next Generation Nigeria have launched a programme tittled:Catch them young” at Senior College, 2nd Avenue, 23/24 Road, Festac Town, Lagos.
Addressing over 100 senior students of the Festac College, the Chairman of Next Generation Nigeria, Mr. Jaafar Bello informed the students of the programme which was launched at the school.

He urged them to like Transport and Logistics as their choosen carrier due to its benefits.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Lagos Branch of the CILT, Mr. Bashir Ambi- Mohammed who delivered lecture on the Benefits of the Transport Industry had analysed the numerous benefits of Transportation and Logistics to National Development, Security , Trade facilitation, Socio- Economic Develoment, to the Citizens, etc.
Bashir, however tasked the student to key in to the Transport and Logistics profession in addition to whatever discipline they may want to adopt in life.
He also charged the students to marry their books and shun all inimical activities so that they would be a referenced Transport and Logistics gurus in and outside the Country.
There was questions and answers session during the launching where three (3)successful students were given a cash awards in dollars by the CILT Team.
There was also a nomination of CILT Ambassador at the school.
The atmosphere at the college changed with new look as students were talking about CILT Nigeria and eager to be members of the Institute.

When will Nigerian governments, from FG to LG levels recognise them for employment? When will Nigerian road transport operators learn to employ them rather than so-called ‘agberos’?
