Customs Job Employment: Candidates To Begin Physical Screening September 8

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the schedule for the physical screening and documentation exercise for successful candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Service.
The exercise will be conducted at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja, according to a statement issued on Monday by the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada.
According to him, the screening for the Supretendent cadre begins Tuesday 8th September to Thursday 10th September across 36 states of the Federation, while that of Inspectorate cadre holds on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th. For the Customs Assistant cadre, the date for inspection has been set from Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th September across the various states of the Federation.
Maiwada said all shortlisted candidates are required to appear at the screening venue with the original and photocopies of their relevant documents. He listed the required documents to include the National Identification Number (NIN), original birth certificate or declaration of age, and educational certificates, including O’Level, ND, HND, degree or other applicable qualifications.
The NCS spokesman added that candidates must also present a certificate of state of origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed guarantor’s form and an NYSC certificate, where applicable. He further directed candidates to appear for the exercise in a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes.
According to him, candidates are expected to report strictly on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres, stressing that attendance at the physical screening and documentation exercise is compulsory.
Maiwada warned that failure to appear as scheduled could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
He explained that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation would receive further instructions from the Service on subsequent stages of the recruitment exercise.
The NCS spokesman said the Service, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team, remained committed to ensuring a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process.
He urged candidates and members of the public to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information concerning the exercise.
