ANLCA Apapa Chapter Chairman, Emeka Chukwumalu Salutes Port Stakeholders, Calls for Professionalism in 2026

The Apapa chapter Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Chief Emeka Chukwumalu has expressed gratitude to members of the association who are Customs brokers, as well as other port stakeholders, including Nigeria Customs Service, Terminal Operators, Shipping companies and other government agencies.
In his new year message issued on Thursday, 1st of January 2026, Chukwumalu urged everyone involved in cargo clearance to remain compliant and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in the new year.
He stressed the need for stakeholders to continue to play by the rules to ensure seamless and efficient cargo processing from the port in 2026.
“As we bid farewell to 2025 and step into the promising horizon of 2026, on behalf of my executive, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all maritime stakeholders, especially Customs brokers, freight forwarders, officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, personnel of other government agencies at Apapa Port, and members of the maritime press.
“We give thanks to the Almighty for guiding us through the challenges of the past year. Your unwavering cooperation, collaboration, and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in our collective success. I deeply appreciate the strong professional relationships we’ve built and sustained throughout 2025.
“As we embrace the new year, I encourage all licensed Customs agents and those involved in cargo clearance to remain compliant and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. Let us continue to play by the rules to ensure seamless and efficient cargo processing.
“I also call on the Nigeria Customs Service, shipping companies, terminal operators, and all other agencies operating within Apapa Port to maintain diligence and foster a more streamlined, transparent, and bottleneck-free port environment.
“May 2026 bring us abundant opportunities, good health, and divine protection. Wishing you and your families a prosperous, peaceful, and fulfilling New Year” the message read
