NDLEA Honors ANLCA Tin Can Chairman, Wale Cole As WADA Ambassador

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has honored the Tin Can Island Chapter Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Prince Olawale Cole as an ambassador of the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA).
The Tin Can Island Port Commander of NDLEA, Ofoyeju Mitchell decorated the ANLCA Chairman last week Friday when he and his Tin Can Chapter Executives visited his command.
In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Tin Can Island chapter of ANLCA, Onome Joy, Commander Ofoyeju noted that the ANLCA Executives were the first Association that have officially visited him.
He expressed delight and readiness to partner with the licensed customs agents in line with the rules and regulations of the NDLEA act.
Commander Ofoyeju urged clearing agents to check properly on their Bill of Laden to ensure they don’t facilitate illicit drug importation into the country.
“He also said we should try to know our customers, KYC very important, we should make sure of the contents they are bringing into the country, we should make sure the contents are not illicit and finally we should make sure they don’t under-declare or shortchange the system” Onome stated
