Apapa Customs, TTP Sets Training for Clearing Agents Amidst ETO Call-up Challenges, Biting Haulage Costs

The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, in collaboration with Truck Transit Park Ltd (TTP) has concluded plans to train clearing agents and freight forwarders operating at the port on the operations of the Eto Call-up System and the challenges of high transportation cost of cargoes from Apapa Port.

DAILY TREND gathered that the training which would hold at the Apapa Customs CPC Auditorium is slated for 16th of April 2025.

Confirming this to our correspondent on Tuesday, the Chairman of Apapa chapter of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Chief Emeka Chukwumalu said the training was secured by The Joint Association Chairmen for all Licensed Customs Agents in Apapa Command.

He said there is need to crash transportation costs at the port and return more importers and Exporters to do business with ease in Apapa port

“The training is basically for us to have awareness on the operations of the ETO Call-up System through the TTP.
We also want to brainstorm on ways to reduce the high cost of cargo transportation in Apapa Port ” Chukwumalu stated

“It is a free training proudly sponsored by the Command Customs Area Controller, Babatunde Olomu and his management in conjunction with the TTP and initiated by the Joint Association Leadership”

To this end, participants have been urged to register properly so as to partake in the training session.
