Goddy Soleji Chaired PCRC Donates Toilet Facilities to KLT Police Command

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) KLT Phase 2 Chapter, chaired by Comrade Goddy Sewa Soleji, has donated a modern toilet facility to the KLT Police Command. The facility was formally commissioned on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Port Police Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, who was represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Enimijofa Akeke of the Port CID.

In his remarks, Comrade Soleji, who is also the Chairman of the Presidential Monitoring and Task Force for the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), highlighted the revival of the PCRC Phase 2 Chapter after a period of inactivity.

“This is PCRC Phase 2 KLT Chapter. At a time, the chapter had gone into extinction, but with the help of Almighty God, it has been resuscitated and is now fully functional. The purpose of today’s gathering is to commission this project, which God, in His infinite mercy, has enabled us to complete,” Soleji said.

He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, members, and the police for their contributions to the project’s success, emphasizing the importance of community collaboration in enhancing police infrastructure.

While commissioning the project, DCP Akeke, representing CP Maikaba, lauded the Soleji-led PCRC for addressing the critical need for proper sanitation facilities at the KLT Police Command.

“The PCRC has made this day a reality by building a facility that officers and men of this division can use to address the call of nature. This is no small achievement, as proper sanitation is essential for workplace functionality and dignity. The Commissioner of Police appreciates this effort deeply and commends the strong relationship between the PCRC and the police in this jurisdiction,” Akeke stated.

He added that the PCRC plays a vital role in bridging infrastructural gaps within police formations and encouraged the group to continue their commendable contributions to the force.

Also speaking, the Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port, Abubakar Sanni Isa, represented by the Traffic Manager for KLT, Mr. Taiwo Olusegun, applauded the PCRC’s dedication to public service.

“We encourage you to continue making sacrifices for the police community. Your efforts are highly commendable, and we promise to be partners in progress by supporting you wherever necessary,” Olusegun said.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of KLT Command, CSP Ibimode Adeleye, also expressed appreciation for the PCRC’s efforts. He described Comrade Soleji as a humble leader whose commitment and leadership are worthy of emulation.

“The dedication shown by the PCRC under Soleji’s leadership is exemplary. This project demonstrates the power of collaboration and selflessness,” Adeleye remarked.

The event was attended by notable guests, including the DPO of Tin Can Police Command, CSP Oduntan Rafiu, and other stakeholders committed to fostering stronger police-community relations.
