APFFLON Partners Ekiti/Ondo Customs Command on Trade Facilitation, Honest Declarations

The Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), under the leadership of its National President, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, embarked on a strategic working visit to the Customs Area Controller of Ekiti/Ondo Command, Comptroller M.O. Bewaji, on Monday.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration to enhance trade facilitation and promote honest declarations among stakeholders.
Speaking with Daily Trend after the visit, Otunba Ogunojemite emphasized the importance of fostering a strong partnership between freight forwarders and Customs to ease business processes and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
“Our discussions with Comptroller Bewaji were centered on the ease of doing business, trade facilitation, and the need for transparent and honest declarations in customs processes.
“APFFLON is committed to supporting initiatives that simplify procedures for importers and exporters while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations,” Ogunojemite said.
The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller M.O. Bewaji, welcomed the APFFLON delegation and reiterated the Command’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to address bottlenecks in the trade process.
She highlighted the Command’s dedication to maintaining efficiency, transparency, and professionalism in its operations.
