B-r-e-a-k-i-n-g: ANLCA Western Zone Endorses B-9 Likeminds for BOT Seats

In preparation for the upcoming Board of Trustees (BOT) elections of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), the Western Zone of the association has unanimously endorsed the candidacy of the B-9 Likeminds. This group consists of nine like-minded candidates vying for positions on the board.

The B-9 includes:

• Chief Kingsley Offor (Area 3, Port Harcourt)

• Sir Ernest Elochukwu Anthony (Area 1, Port Harcourt)

• Mustapha Taiwo (Area 1, Port Harcourt)

• Azeez Adedayo David (Apapa)

• Alhaji Awonuga Olatunde (Apapa)

• Okafor Dennis Osadebe (Apapa)

• Momoh Sunday (Apapa)

• Mumuney Ademola (KCI Chapter)

• Utai Mohammed Sani (Kano Chapter).

During a meeting held at the Villa Park Hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, on Thursday, the endorsement was spearheaded by Mr. Tope Akindele and seconded by Mr. Clement, Sole Administrator for the Seme Chapter. A vote followed, with 34 of the 38 members present casting their ballots in favor of the adoption.

The gathering was attended by prominent figures within ANLCA, including Patron Prince Taiye Oyeniyi, President of the Oodua Maritime Forum Chief Oye Aroba Ariyo, and various chapter administrators from the Western Zone.

Special Assistants to the National President and heads of different committees, such as Chief Mike Okolochi, Charles Nwaneri, Elder Oluwole Obe and Pastor Goddy Soleji, were also present.

Prince Taiye Oyeniyi, addressing the attendees, said, “The voice of human beings is the voice of God. Put all these candidates in your prayers, and let us see wonders on the day of election. The BOT election is going to be a seamless one.”

Alhaji Idowu Owoade, Secretary of the Western Zone, echoed this sentiment, adding, “We unanimously agreed that what our counterparts did in the East and Northern Zones, we have also adopted.”

This endorsement follows a similar move by the Eastern Zone, which, just a week prior, convened at Voyage Hotel, Port Harcourt, to support the B-9 Likeminds for the BOT seats. The Eastern Zone’s decision was bolstered by the attendance of key stakeholders, including the Onne Chapter Chairman, Chief Mike Ebeatu, and Secretary, Mr. Chinedu Ikenga.
