Merchant Navy Senior Staff Holds Fresh Elections 26th-27th June, 2024, As President Bob Yousou Seeks Re-election
…Says Membership Under his Watch Increased from 2,525 to 10,300

The Nigerian Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transporters Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) is set to hold its Delegate Conference and elections on 26th to 27th of June 2024 in Lagos, even as its current President, Eng Bob Yousou is seeking re-election into office.
Eng Yousou in his campaign has said that the association under his watch in the past four years has been able increase its membership from 2,525 to 10,300, among other achievements.
Other achievements of his office according to him, includes; improvement in seafarers Welfare, Transformation of the Association Progressive Collaboration with Maritime Stakeholders, as well as Signing of lucrative Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Nigerian Seafarers.
Other achievements include; sustainable revenue drive, Relocation of the Association National Secretariat to a Maritime Hub and conducive Environment, Care for the Association past Leaders, Members & Staff, creation of industrial Peace and Harmony, Repositioning of the Association Zonal Councils, as well as building a good relationship with the relevant agencies.
Eng Yousou also presented forward his vision for the association in the next four years if reelected into office. There includes;
“To aquire a permanent site for the association, To unionise more companies in order to improve the Association revenue.
“To improve the working condition and welfare of our members. To build a more harmonious industrial relationship with Maritime stakeholders and Agencies.
To improve the good image of the Association ”
