ANLCA Vice President, Prince Oduntan Urges Members to be Wary of Illicit Drug Container Imports
…Sensitizes Newly Appointed Western Zone Administrators

The Vice President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Segun Oduntan on Wednesday held a sensitization meeting for the newly appointed Western Zone chapter’s Administrators, urging them to be more proactive in the course of discharging their duties at their various chapters.
Prince Oduntan charged all members to be vigilant and stay clear of facilitating containers bearing illicit drug impartation which according to him, cannot be defended.
According to a statement by ANLCA Western Zonal Secretary, Alhaji Idowu Owoade, the ANLCA Vice President urged all clearing agents to always carryout a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) before accepting to accept jobs from any importer.
He tasked the new chapter Administrators to be more closer to their Customs Area Comptrollers, and that if there are challenges, they should not hesitate to escalate it to the National Secretariat.
He reminded them of their monthly dues to the National and Zonal office offices.

“The zonal coordinator, Femi Anifowose in his capacity also advised the entire team.
He said if he finds any of them wanting in responsibilities, he will not hesitate to recommend them for sacking and replace the position immediately
“In response, Apapa Sole Administrator, Chief Basil thanked the NECOM for giving them the opportunity to serve.
He promised to turn around Apapa chapter to a better working place for all ANLCA members. Others chapters sole admins spoke in the same direction” Owoade stated
