Compt Oladeji Receives Prince Segun Oduntan-Led ANLCA Delegation at FOU Zone ‘A’

..Charges Association to Conduct Business without ‘Noise’

…Streamlines Examination Team to 4-Units

The National Executive Committee (NECOM) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) led by its Vice President, Prince Segun Oduntan and Zonal Coordinator, Femi Anifowose have paid a courtesy visit on Compt Kola Oladeji the new Customs Area Controller, Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A in Ikeja Lagos.

The ANLCA delegation also included the Zonal Secretary, Idowu Owoade, Chairman of Presidential Task Force for Western Zone, Comrade Goddy Sewa Soleji and Elder Oladipo Bolade the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the ANLCA President on FOU matters.

At the meeting, Compt Oladeji solicited ANLCA members cooperation, even as he assured that his office is open for all the stakeholders with genuine declarations.

In a statement issued after the meeting, the ANLCA Western Zone Secretary said “The Comptroller assured us that if at all we need help, we should feel free to come to him directly or to any of his management team.

“He emphasised on the need for us to avoid noise of any kind, he said it categorically that he did not want noise at all, just as jobs are going on in the eastern part of the country, especially Onne Port without any kind of noise”

In response, the ANLCA Vice President, Prince Segun Oduntan thanked the Customs Comptroller for his understanding, even as he assured him and his management team of ANLCA’s cooperation.

He also emphasized on the need for ANLCA members to be accorded respect and avoid delay on any job that is intercepted and taken to the FOU.

Prince Oduntan appreciated the fact that Compt Oladeji has reduced and streamlined the examination team to only four units instead of previous eight units, in order to avoid extortion of clearing agents.

“Our VP also promised to interact with other senior customs officers on the need to recognize his office to avoid unnecessary arrest of containers on the highway” the statement read
