Customs Kick-off Training of ANLCA Members in Lagos Today

The Nigeria Customs Service is kicking off a training programme for members of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) at the Customs training school, Ikeja Lagos today, 11th of March, 2024.

The programme tagged “Administrative and Operational Awareness Training for Declarants” is expected to run through Friday 15th of March 2024 at 10am daily.

In a letter to the National President of ANLCA, signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Zone A of Customs, A.E Edeminam for the Zonal Coordinator Zone A headquarters, the Customs states that “This is to notify your agency of the Comptroller General’s approval for the training of declarants (Agents) in order to provide comprehensive insight and guidance on the emerging administrative and operational trends in the customs clearance process.

“In view of the above, you are to disseminate to your Members and nominate Thirty (30) participants, which should not be below the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Operations Manager.

“The workshop is as Scheduled; Date: Monday – Friday, 11th – 15th March, 2024. Time: 10:00am hrs. Venue: Customs Training College, Ikeja – Lagos”

  1. THE TRAINING IS NOT FOR ANCLA MEMBERS ONLY IT’S FOR ALL FREIGHT FORWARDER IN THE CLEARING INDUSTRY, APFFLON INCLUSIVE.

    They are the reasons for high cost of transportation ,congestion in the ports and traffic bottlenecks. It is a multi million Naira extortion cartel that must be dismantled.
