BLUE ECONOMY MATTERS: Comrade Adeyanju Visits ANLCA National Secretariat, Strategizes with Emenike Nwokeoji

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) are currently collaborating to evaluate the cost and effects of them partnering with the newly created Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, headed by Adegboyega Oyetola.

President General of MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju on Thursday 18th January 2024, led top delegates of the union on a courtesy visit to ANLCA National Secretariat to discuss matters of mutual interest to members of both bodies.

According to a statement by the media adviser to the ANLCA President, Alhaji Ayokunle Sulaiman, Comrade Adeyanju’s visit was to seek for a robust operational collaboration and synergy with the foremost maritime association, ANLCA.

The ANLCA President’s media aid said “Area of strategic collaboration discussed and agreed includes but not limited to :-

1. The cost and benefits of partnering with MARINE & BLUE ECONOMY Ministry

2. Collaboration between both association for seamless relationships

3 Challenges of ETO call up system and ways to mitigate the bottleneck created by faceless individuals behind the racketeering,

4. Periodic meetings between both organizations.

“The outcome of the engagement was mouthwatering with potential benefits for both organizations,

“The president also insisted on seen ANLCA as an independent association in response to PG appeal that synergy between ANLCA and other freight forwarding association will bring additional strength in solving some challenges at the Ports,

“Mr President (ANLCA) call for exchange of potential information between both association as at when due”
