National Vice President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Prince Segun Oduntan on Tuesday represented the association at the decoration of newly promoted Senior customs officers at a ceremony that held at the Customs Training College, Ikeja, Lagos under the Zonal Coordinator, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs Bello Jibo.

Apart from Prince Oduntan, other prominent figures in the freight forwarding sector present were; former Acting President of ANLCA, Dr Kayode Farinto and the Chairman, Customs Consultative Committee (CCC) Alhaji Hakeem Olanrewaju.

Prince Oduntan while giving his good will message on behalf of ANLCA President, Emenike Nwokeoji emphasized that the association is ready to partner and work with the Nigeria Customs Service.

He however said the condition for partnership remain that customs should also be prepared to work with ANLCA as partners in progress.

Oduntan insists that no officer should see his or herself as superior to any customs Agents.

“We are the ones that generate customs duty and taxes, while customs collect on behalf of Federal Government” he said

Some of the newly promoted officers decorated by the ANLCA Vice President included; Compt. Daniyan former APM of Tin Can Island Port, as well as another Deputy Comptroller Hassan.
