Compt Oloyede is a Trade Facilitation Expert, Clearing Agents Honor Outgoing Tin Can Customs Controller

Clearing Agents under the aegis of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Tin Can Island Port has described the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Kunle Oloyede as a trade facilitation expert who turned around the fortunes of the Command.

Even though Oloyede has been transferred to Customs headquarters in Abuja, the ANLCA team led by its Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Mojeed presented him a parting gift, saying that he left an indelible mark at the command.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary of ANLCA Tin Can Island Chapter, Barrister Michael Ovien, the association commended Compt Oloyede for his outstanding performance in discipline of both personnel of the Customs and the stakeholder at administrative and management level in the aspects of Trade Facilitation which he introduced from the day he took over from the then DCG MBA Musa on the 14th Feb, 2022.

“On the issues of Introduction of VIN Valuation and Non Standard VIN and the introduction of 846 CAC Procedure Code 125, the Comptroller Adekunle Oloyede scores marks was really commendable, because, he put all mechanism to make sure that there are checks and balances for Stakeholders, that are compliance both on general cargos clearance and open shipment clearance.

“His doors are open to all associations residence within his command, and stakeholder meeting are called immediately if there are urgent news to be share or passed in the improvement of trade facilitation of ease of doing business at his Command.

“As we rightly called him the General in Charge of Tincan Island Command, Compt. Oloyede A.A, the ICT innovator equipped himself with all the ICT personnel officer because of the peculiar nature of stakeholder within its environ, he put into practice the “SWOT” analysis, (Strength Weakness) (Opportunity Threat), the test run for Procedure Code 846 commence under his watch and all barriers associated with it were resolved.

“We would like the new CAC Contr. Dera Nnadi to still borrow from his principle of open door because he too is a product of Tincan Island Command.

“As the ANLCA Secretary of the Chapter, I personally appreciate him, for the role he gave to me, doing the kick-off of VIN Valuation, Standard & Non Standard with the 846 Procedure Code 125, and the further recommendation to other Area Command as resource person under his watch.

“NCS has really evolved globally with the trends of Trade Facilitation Agreement and emergence of NCS Act that has been signed into Law. Your redeployment to Import & Export Seat as Comptroller will add more value to the TFA and the Country as a whole. Keep the flag flying and the sky will be your limit” the statement read
