Tin Can Ports Youths Congratulates ANLCA President Emenike, Prince Oduntan, Promises to Help in Rebuilding Association

The youths forum of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) at the Tin Can Island Port has congratulated the newly elected National President of the association, Mr Emenike Nwokeoji and his Vice President, Prince Segun Oduntan for their success in the National Executive Committee (NECOM) elections which held at Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos last week Thursday.
In a press statement issued in Lagos on Monday by the Youth Leader, Tin Can Island Port ANLCA chapter, Hon Sikiru Remilekun, the youth extended appreciations to the immediate past Vice President of ANLCA, Dr Kayode Farinto for his sportsmanship and leadership spirit by congratulating the new president.
Hon Remilekun pledged the unalloyed commitment of the youths at the Tin-Can Island Port in partnering the new NECOM, so as to rebuild and reposition ANLCA.
“On behalf of the entire youths excos and members, we are delighted to congratulate the new elected NECOM of an ANLCA, led by President Emenike Nwokeoji and his Vice President, Prince Segun Oduntan. I believe that this team is capable to rebuild the image of the association.
“Though a lot of members, especially the youths have lost hope and trust in the association, but I believe that now that the association is speaking with one voice again, the lost glory and reputation would be restored.
“I strongly believe that the coming on board of President Emenike Nwokeoji and Prince Segun Oduntan will liberate us under the bad energy and oppression of government agencies in the port
“Our special appreciation goes to Dr kayode farinto and his group who actually showed a leadership spirit by congratulating the new president, it really shows he really wants the lasting peace in the association” Hon Remilekun stated
Going further, the ANLCA topgun commended the Customs Consultative Council (CCC) under the leadership of Alhaji Akeem Olanrenwaju for being resolute and insisting that peace must return to the hitherto crisis-weary ANLCA.
He also acknowledged the role played by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) under its Governing Council Chairman, Alhaji Tsanni Abubakar who made several interventions, all in the bid to bring about peace in ANLCA.
Hon Remilekun pledged that the
youths are ready to work with the new NECOM, and that they arw ready to abide by its directives as good members of the association.
Also, the Secretary to the Youths, Oluwaseun Sunday Sanyaolu wished President Emenike and Prince Oduntan a fruitful administration, even as he prayed God to order their steps as they assume office.
“It is our joy to see ALNCA come together as a family and a united body. This is the first win for the industry at large, and this unity should proffer many solutions to lingering problems in the industry.
“We the youth are ready to help our leaders identify the many problems plaguing our profession, and we implore the President to operate an open door policy, he should let information flow from low management to the top management.
“I commend Dr Kayode Farinto for the spirit of sportsmanship by congratulating the elected president, we ask for more peace among the leaders” Sanyaolu said
On his part, the Public Relations Officer of the youths, Mr Owoseni Azeez states that the youths represents the upcoming generation in the freight forwarding and customs brokerage profession, hence, they should be given listening ears and a place in the scheme of things in ANLCA.
Azeez who is the Chief Executive Officer of Multimodal Cargo Shipping Limited assured that the youths would be of great support to the new NECOM in advancing the progress of the noble profession.
“Congratulations to the new ANLCA NECOM Team and the new leader, in persons of President Emenike Nwokeoji and Vice President, Prince Segun Oduntan.
“It gladdens my heart to see that after a long internal crisis which be-devilled our great association, we could still come out in flying colours to have a peaceful election. It is a sign of one big family.
“I salute the courage and the strength put in place to make this work. I must also commend the courage and the effort of Dr. Kayode Farinto, it is worth emulating. He is indeed a peace loving leader.
“We will also use this medium to assure our new NECOM team that we understand the enormity of the responsibility and the mantle of leadership saddled on them, and we promise to be of great support to them always” he said
