By DAPO OLAWUNI
The Association Electoral Committee (ASECO) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has released a provisional voters list for practitioners in the Western Zone who would be allowed to vote in the forthcoming National Executive Committee (NECOM) election.
Meanwhile, the ASECO is yet to determine when and where the election would hold. The electoral body on Tuesday informed all aspirant and ANLCA members that the NECOM elections earlier scheduled to take place Wednesday 05/07/2023 has been postponed due to circumstances beyond ASECO.
The electoral body said it is working on a new timetable which will be communicated to members soon.
“ASECO will also like to use this medium to appeal to all aspirants and their supporters to tone down their campaign rhetorics on all ANLCA platforms as we need to nourish and engender the fragile peace that we are presently enjoying in our great association.
“Finally, ASECO wish to assure all members of our great association of our commitment to deliver a credible and acceptable NECOM election” the notice signed by its Chairman, Chief Aloy Nze Igwe and Secretary, Mustapha Yakubu stated.
