Erudite and highly cerebral Apapa Port Manager, Mrs Olufunmilayo Bola Olotu has been redeployed by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to the Marina Headquarters in Lagos as Assistant General Manager Tariff and Billing.

Mrs Olotu took over the reigns of the Apapa Premier Port in 2019 from Hajia Aisha Ali-Ibrahim as the Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa.

Automatically, she is now the longest serving female Port Manager in Nigeria.
She was recently recognized by NPA as the best performing Port Manager in Nigeria in 2021.

As the 26th Manager of the Premier Port, she was assigned from Calabar Port down to Apapa by former Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman.

When she came onboard, she brought her wealth of experience to bear in the operations of the Lagos Ports Complex, and has been able to surmount prevailing challenges that bedeviled operations at the seaport.

Following her antecedence at the troubled Calabar Ports Complex, Apapa port stakeholders were in constant awe and commendation of how her tenure heralded a new dawn at the Apapa Port.

DAILY TREND reliably gathered that she would be handing over to the in-coming Port Manager any moment from now.
