Former Chairman of Tin can Island Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Prince Segun Oduntan has congratulated Comrade Adewale Adeyanju on his emergence as the 1st Deputy National President of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC)

Prince Oduntan in a congratulatory message issued in Lagos on Wednesday stated that Comrade Adeyanju has proved his mettle as a reliable labour leader, going by his track record of peace and tranquility fostered among workers in the Nigerian maritime industry in the last six years.

The ANLCA top gun described Comrade Adeyanju as an experienced labour leader, even as he commended the professionalism and scientific unionism he has brought about in the port sector, especially among Nigerian dockworkers.

Prince Oduntan stated that; “I congratulate Comrade Prince Adewale Adeyanju on his emergence as the Deputy President of NLC. His victory is not a surprise to us in the maritime industry because, Comrade Adeyanju as a labour leader has through his reign as President General of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) brought about industrial harmony in the port sector

“He is a man that is passionate about the welfare of the workers, and I have no doubt in my mind that he is going to extend this expertise to his new national assignment in the NLC”

DAILY TREND reported earlier that Comrade Adeyanju was on Wednesday elected unopposed as the Deputy President of NLC at it’s 13th National Delegate Conference holding at the International Conference Center in Abuja.

Comrade Adeyanju emerged alongside the NLC National President, Comrade Joe Ajaero among other national executives.
