There are fresh indications that the battle-weary gladiators in the five years old crisis that has engulfed the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) have all agreed to return to a roundtable to resolve their differences and bring about peace and tranquility to the clearing agents body.
The peaceful resolution meeting was held at the Area ‘E’ Festac Area Command of the Nigeria Police on Thursday. The meeting was reportedly presided over by a former DPO of RoRo Port, Mr Ajamolaya Ifetayo who is the new Area Commander and a known face among the clearing agents.
Exclusive pictures obtained by DAILY TREND at the end of the showed the Secretary of the Registered Board of Trustees (BOT) Prince Taiye Oyeniyi hugging-it-out with Vice Chairman of BOT led by Dr Taiwo Afolabi, Prince Ozo Chukwura.
Other faces sighted at the meeting included; Kayode Farinto, Eniola Igbaroola, Mr Dayo Azeez, Chief Dennis Okafor among others.
Meanwhile, the PTML Chapter Chairman of ANLCA, Elder Oluwole Obe has called on all members of the association to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign, even as he called for election into various chapters.
Speaking with our correspondent, he said “All positions in the association, both chapters, including the National have all expired, so every body should go back for elections, let’s come back to to the round table to do the needful
“I am appealing to every individual, let us sheath our swords and come under one election and let everybody prepare for elections. The BOT should do the needful according to the supreme constitution of ANLCA.
“This matter should not be delayed again, let them rollout election into the chapters and national, we don’t want crisis anymore” he said
