The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has further affirmed that the Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha remains the authentic Board of Trustees (BOT) recognized by the Federal Government for the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA)

Recall that the CAC had sometimes in 2020 placed a caveat on the file of the association due to its protracted crisis and said that status quo must be maintained. As at then, Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha and others were the recognized names on the CAC.

However, factional Board of Trustees headed by business tycoon and chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr Taiwo Afolabi made an attempt to register a separate board through the back door. This has since hit a brick wall and met with a lot of stakeholders condemnation.

Many described the move as being desperate, this is because there can never be two CAC certificate of registration in circulation. The CAC has since withdrawn the controversial certificate which apparently was obtained through the back door.

To further affirm this position, the CAC in a letter dated 28th November 2022 clarified that no other registration can be made as the association file is under caveat
