NIMASA Governing Board Approves Promotion of 519 Staff

The Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has approved and ratified the promotion of 519 of it’s staff for year 2022.
Director General of NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh while congratulating the affected staff urged them to use the promotion as a moral booster in order to rededicate themselves to the delivery of the agency’s mandates.
“Congratulations to the 519 staff of the Agency whose promotions have just been ratified/approved by the NIMASA Governing Board.
“It is my expectation that this development will serve as a morale booster as you collectively rededicate yourselves to the delivery of our core mandates” he stated
DAILY TREND recalls that NIMASA had in 2021 promoted 295 staff of the agency.
The Governing Board of the agency last year approved the appointment of three new Directors, Mr. Eric OJI, Mr. Dimowo Heaky, and a former spokesman of the Agency, Mr. Isichei Osamgbi.
Nigeria’s Alternate Permanent Representative at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr. Dirisu Abdulmumuni, was promoted to Deputy Director, alongside 61 others. Two hundred and thirty-three other staff were elevated to their next grade levels.
