Dr Aniebonam’s Political Party, NNPP Gains Momentum, As Tinubu Campaign DG Joins

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), a baby of the founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Dr Boniface Aniebonam has gained momentum in the 2023 political race.
This is as the Director General of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, Abdulmumuni Jibrin, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
There are speculation in some quarters that Senator Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, former Governor of Kano State and senator representing Kano Central
was also planning to announce his defection to the NNPP today, Saturday May 14th 2022.
Jibrin disclosed that the reason for his defection to Aniebonam’s NNPP was due to the irreconcilable differences with APC party leadership in Kano State.
Reports had it that Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa was not happy that he was subjected to go through primaries with Ali Datti Yako, instead of having an automatic ticket.
This is also coming as the Deputy Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Zubairu Hamza Massu, member, representing Sumaila Constituency and Hon.Ali Ibrahim Isa Shanono, representing Bagwai/Shanono State Constituency, all defected to the NNPP.
The two lawmakers officially notified the House of their defection in separate letters dated May 13, 2022, which were addressed to the Speaker of the House.
