NIMASA Sets to Issue Curriculum to Evaluate ISPS Code Performance

Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Dr Bashir Jamoh has said that the agency is stepping up its maritime safety mandate through issuance of a curriculum to evaluate performance of trainees on the International Ships and Ports Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
Jamoh stated this when a delegation from the World Maritime University (WMU) , Malmo, Sweden , led by the institution’s head of Maritime Law and Policy, Dr. Max Mejia paid a working visit to the agency’s headquarters in Apapa Lagos.
The NIMASA boss in his official twitter handle @jamohbashir stated that the visit was used to discuss International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
“I used the opportunity to inform them NIMASA is on the verge of developing a maritime curriculum to evaluate the performance of trainees” he said
