Comptroller Umar Takes Over Leadership At Western Marine Customs

Customs Comptroller A. A Umar (fsi) has taken over the reigns of leadership of the Western Marine Command of the service from Deputy Comptroller E. Ochiba as the substantive Customs Area Controller.
During a brief handing and taking over at the WMC Headquarters Ibafon-Apapa, Lagos on Monday, the outgoing Ag. CAC welcomed and congratulated the substantive Area Controller for his posting.
In a press statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Isah Sulaiman, the Acting Customs boss appreciated the Officers and Men of the command for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout his tenure and urged them to accord maximum support and cooperation to the new Area Controller.
In his remark, Comptroller AA Umar urged the officers to rededicate themselves to their statutory responsibilities.
He charged them to be disciplined and work according to the codes, procedures, departmental instructions and laws as enshrine in the Customs and Excise Management Act Cap C45 2004 as amended.
Comptroller Umar was among the Comptrollers who were recently redeployed on the 8 February 2022 by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd).
Until his appointment, Comptroller AA UMAR fsi was the Comptroller Discipline at the Customs Headquarters, Abuja.
