NAGAFF Tin Can Chairman; Azubuike Ekweozor Bags Doctorate Award from United States

Chairman of Tin Can Island Port Chapter of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) High Chief Azubuike Ekweozor on Saturday bagged a Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from the prestigious Prowess University, Delaware, United States of America.

Prowess University had established partnership with a top Professional Institute in Nigeria; Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS) to internationalize professional services and explore co-operation on education and research.

Dr Ekweozor among other prominent Nigerians were decorated by the President of IAMPS who is equally the Provost, College of Law, Kwara State University, Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) at an elaborate ceremony which held at the University of Lagos on Saturday.

Speaking at a reception party which followed after the event, Dr Tobena Obiano, Chief Executive Of Explora Magazines who reeled out achievements of the NAGAFF Chieftain stated how he was qualified for the honor.

“My organisation recommended High Chief Azubuike Ekweozor for a honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from Prowess University, Dilaware, United States of America”

“Dr Ekweozor has distinguished himself in a lot of ways, in his immediate community, locality, in the government of the state and on federal level. He is Chief Executive Officer of chains of companies and establishments”

“Over the years, he has equally done well with verifiable records that we can see what he has done for himself, his people and for his society. He has a foundation through which he has been helping people, the indigent, the poor, the widows and providing scholarships”

“Through his Ide Global Movement, he has made a far reaching impact.

“I wrote to prowess and recommended him strongly, they sent over their delegation to Nigeria, there was a lot of back and forth for six months, but they eventually did a review and found out that he was real”

“Ours is to encourage him to do more, because education is the key to unluck a lot of doors”

Also speaking with journalists after receiving the award, Dr Ekweozor expressed gratitude to God for the award, even as he pledged to continue doing more for humanity and his community.

He assured that the Doctorate Degree would further impact on his contributions and activities in the freight forwarding and maritime sector.

“I feel honored being among the chosen ones to receive the award of this institution, it is indeed a happy day and a happy experience for me. This is one of the things I have been aspiring in life to move ahead. So, being honored with the Doctorate Degree by Prowess University, I am very glad.
I pray for more strength and wisdom to do more”

“Everybody knows what a Doctorate Degree is, in any profession you practice, it heightens your operations, most expecially in the maritime sector where I practice, I believe it would add value to me” he said

Special Guest of Honor at the reception party, Founder of NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Aniebonam commended Dr Ekweozor describing him as over-deserving of the award.

“Life is a continum, and when a man is confered with this kind of honor, it is basically on merit and it adds a lot of value to your future. By all standards, Azubuike is doing well” Aniebonam stated.
