BREAKING: Fear of Petroleum Tanker Explosion Halts NPA’s Eto Call-up At Tin Can Port

There is palpable tension around the Abuja park axis of PTML Terminal, around Tin Can Island Port, as fire fighters are currently battling to forestall fire outbreak directly opposite the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Electronic Call-up (Eto) gate.

DAILY TREND NEWS correspondent who was at the scene of the unfolding event gathered that a 33,000 liters petroleum tanker was trying to breach the Eto Call-up barrier when it rammed into another truck conveying vehicles.

Subsequently, the Tanker has bursted and currently spilling its contents on the road.

Security agents and fire fighters from MRS tank farms which is very close to the scene have now been deployed to curtail the situation.

As at the time of filing this report, no truck is allowed to leave the PTML and Tin Can axis until the hole in the Tanker could be successfully fixed.
