Foursquare Gospel Church, Alake District Holds 6th Convocation Ceremony

Foursquare Gospel Church (FGC) Alake District, Ikotun has held the grand finale of it’s one week long convocation ceremony.

The convocation with the theme “Great Harvest” had in attendance the General Overseer of the commission, Rev. Sam Aboyeji and other national delegates in attendance.

In his goodwill message stated that the , the General Overseer, Sam Aboyeji, stated that the convocation is a season for the church to come joyfully together as churches in the district to fellowship, deliberate and take stock of the the church performance in the out gone church year, adding that the convocation is a time to be impacted spiritually and a forum to chart the way forward in respect to Kingdom business.

On his part, the District Overseer, Rev Adeola Adedapo, said the theme “Kingdom Great Harvest” is suggestive of the vision and determination of the church to lunch out into the ripe harvest field and do exploit.

He said ” it is our corporate goal in Alake District to join hands with the leadership and at all levels to enlarge the kingdom by soaring in the harvest of souls

“I therefore solicit the support and cooperation of our erudite and indefatigable leaders, members and workers as we join hands together to enlarge the kingdom frontiers within and by extension other fields that maybe open for our operation” he said.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of the convocation, Pastor Tayo Agbogun, informed that the theme for the year convocation “Great Harvest” was drawn from Luke 10:2 and with major focus on evangelism.

He stressed that every child of God is to pray ceaselessly for strategies, empowerments and grace for evangelism, adding that every genuine child of God should adopt a generous attitude towards giving to evangelism and mission work.
While adding that though the mission and evangelism is capital intensive, he however assured that it is heavily and heavenly rewarding
