Nigerian Customs Deploy 497 Newly Trained Operatives Into Investigative Unit

The Nigeria Customs Service has released a new movement order for the posting of 497 newly trained officers into its Customs Investigative Unit (CIU) while 232 officers have been transfered away from the department.

The movement order was contained in a circular No : NCS/HRD/2021/003, dated 24th of March 2021, signed by Ag. Deputy Comptroller-General, Human Resources Department of Customs, DCG Babani A.T for the Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali.

The circular stated that “I have been directed to convey CGC’s approval of the posting of Officers and Men into and out of the Customs lntelligence Unit following the completion of the training of newly enlisted Operatives”

“Pursuant to the foregoing, find attached herewith the
movement of the affected officers as follows”

Recall that the service had shortlisted 3,500 successful applicants for Its 2021 NCS Screening Exercise.

The Service commenced recruitment recently, saying that shortlisted candidates will have their names posted according to their state of the application after their exam.
