CRFFN Ex-Chairman’s Company; Talod Ocean Airfreight Bags WCO Award for Outstanding Trade Compliance

A freight forwarding company belonging to the immediate past Chairman of the Governing Board of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju; Talod Ocean Airfreight has received an international certificate merit award by the World Customs Organisation (WCO)
The award was which was confered on the CRFFN boss by Mr Kunio Mukuriya the Secretary General of WCO, was presented by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col.Hameed Ali at the just concluded International Customs Day Celebration, held in Abuja.
Ali said the certificates award was in recorgnition for: “RENDERING EXCEPTIONAL SERVICES TO THE INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS COMMUNITIES”.
The WCO Certificate awards is an international recorgnition for private organizations endorsed by the National Customs haven obtained a clean bill of professional practices by the FIATA for outstanding trade compliance , qualitative logistics services and participation in the global trade initiative programs; which in the local parlance is referred to as “Compliant Declarant/Trader”
The WCO Certificate of Merit is one International award every duly established Professional freight forwarding firms or Practitioners aspires and look forward to earn in the course of its or his Professional career.
Recall that, each year, during the International Customs Day cerebration, national Customs are encouraged to nominate a national organization who meets the stipulated criteria to represent Nigeria private sector in this category of merit certificate award.
Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju in his appreciation remarks, thank the WCO and the Nigerian Customs for considering his company worthy of this merit award.
He equally thanked and commended his company management team, even as he dedicated the award to the young freight forwarders who are aspiring for professionalism and International best practices in all strata of the maritime industry.
Meanwhile, congratulatory messages have began to pour in for the former CRFFN boss over the award.
The first to congratulate him were ; Congregation of Registered Freight Forwarding Practitioners of Nigeria (CREFFPON)
The group said they are motivated by the award to aspire for professional excellence.
CREFFPON is a voluntary Salvage Movement to restore Professionalism by willing Registered Freight Forwarders with the CRFFN.
