Ogun State Calls For Application On 5,000 Jobs for Youths

The Ogun State Government has called on youths in the state to come forward and take advantage of the 5,000 job provisions made available by the state through its governor, Dapo Abiodun.
In a release signed by Special Adviser on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment, Prince Lekan Olude, the applications are open between November 2nd and 17th, 2020, adding that it can be accessed directly via; jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng/ogyes.
He described the move as part of the state governments effort to reduce unemployment, adding that the application of 5000 youths will cut across the 20 Local government.
Prince Olude also noted that the programme is to unleash the creative energies embedded in the youth towards building a more vibrant economy, admonishing them to utilise the opportunities opened to them.
He enjoined youths to apply for the Ogun State Youth Empowerment Scheme called (OG-YES) through the state jobs portal site at “jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng
According to him ” The programme will provide apprenticeship opportunities for unskilled youths in different scales across different industries, including construction, health, transportation among others.
The programme will be in cycle of six months and would provide a monthly allowance for all participants”. Olude said.
