Customs CG Wife Saga: Ex Boyfriend Says She Picked Unnecessary Fight as Excuse to Dump Him
The aggrieved former boyfriend of the new bride to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (CG, NCS), Col. Hameed Ali, Zubairu Dalhatu Malami has said that the wife, Zainab Abdullahi Yahaya picked an unnecessary fight as an excuse to dump him for the Customs CG.
In the Demand Notice filed by Buba Partners (Kwarshi Chambers), dated 22nd may 2020, Mr. Malami alleged that then Ms Zainab picked an unnecessary fight with him few days to her marriage to the customs boss wherein she insulted him and called him all kinds of names with claims that he calculates all she had collected from him both as loans, investments and trip tickets
The aggrieved boyfriend has now demanded a refund of N9million from Zainab as refund of monies given to her as loans to grow her business and how he took care of her during the relationship.
He also threatened to sue Zainab “mischievous and Breach of Trust Relationship (sic).”
The disgruntled boyfriend Zubairu Dalhatu Malami alleged that he has been in a relationship with Zainab for over three years and has invested so much in her life, future and business when she consistently promised to marry him.
In view of that, Mr Malami demanded that Zainab refund the sum of N2,778,207 only being the sum for travel tickets for KSA on 20th March to 5th April 2018, UAE on 17th February to 27th February 2019, PRC April 2019, UAE on 13th June to 19th June, 2019, UAE on 5th July to 10th July 2019, UAE on 30 September to 13th October 2019, UK on 18th January to 23rd January 2020, UAE on 24th January to 25th January 2020.
“N1.5m loan for your investment; N200,000 only paid for you on behalf of Dan Tsanyawa; N450,000 only for clothing business at US; N280,000 only for shop rent at Haneefa Plaza on Court Road; N350,000 only you borrowed to give your father; N350,000 only house rent refund; N300,000 only you collected as loan which you paid for your vails (sic); N360,000 only for your China trip; N500,000 only you collected for your car purchase; N250,000 only for all chinchin investment,” the aggrieved lover’s lawyer further stated.
He also demanded the return of N1.763million for “LEFE clothes”, “six abayas which you took out of the 12 abayas that were sewed; company ID cards in the name of Zainab Abdullahi Yahaya, Fatima Abdullahi Muhammed and Adnan Abdullahi Yahaya; company HP laptop given to you, company HP laptop given to Adnan Abdullahi Yahaya, company uniform given to you; a pair of shoes; one set of luggage (5 pieces); one piece of Samsonite luggage, car number plate bearing Bichi Local Government”.
“Failure to heed to same shall leave us with no other option than to proceed with legal action to recover the said sum. Your choice in this matter is our preference,” the letter added.
About two years ago on October 29, 2018, the Customes CG’s first wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jummai Ali, died in Abuja. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
Recall that the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Colonel Hameed Ali (retd), on Saturday married a new wife at a low-key ceremony in Kano State.
