Shippers Council Boss; Hassan Bello Visits Family of Late Staff who Died Monday

A staff of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Yusuf Muniru is dead. He died barely two days after he was allocated a new bus by the Council on Friday.
The 52 years old driver was said to have gave up the ghost while preparing for work on Monday morning.

Already,  Executive Secretary of the Council,  Barr Hassan Bello has paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family.
Bello described Yusuf as a diligent and ever cheerful colleague who was dedicated to his work. Even though he had a history of hypertension and diabetes, Bello said the staff was being managed by the Council’s clinic.
“We have just returned from paying a condolence visit to the family of our late colleague Munir Yusuf at his home in Igando”
“On your behalf, we commiserated with his wife and his first son Matthew who is just 21”
“He was looking forward to conveying returning staff to work this morning as he had just taken delivery of a new bus. He suddenly took ill in the early hours of today and slumped. It’s a sad loss”
“The Council has made arrangements to support and to counsel the family through this difficult time” Bello stated in his tribute.
In subsequent press statement by the Shippers Council head of Public Relations,  Rakiya Zubairu, the Council described the late staff  as “A valued and conscientious staff of the Council, Yusuf who has been buried will be sorely missed by his wife Mary Oladunjoye and 5 children as well as his colleagues in the Nigerian Shippers’ Council”
Alh. M. Adamu Malgwi, Assistant Director, General Services of Nigerian Shippers’ Council described Yusuf, popularly known as pastor, as a very hard-working and dedicated driver.
“Amongst other duties, he conveyed staff on the Iyana-Ipaja route for more than ten years”
“He was allocated a new bus just last Friday and I even had cause to verbally commend him as I was handing over the keys”
