Comptroller Dalha Vows To Give Smugglers Tough Time At Seme Border

The new Customs Area Controller (CAC) Seme Border command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Deputy Comptroller Chedi Dalha Wada has vowed to carry on the legacy of his predecessor; Comptroller Mohammed Uba  Garba and continue to give smugglers a tough time at the Seme border.

According to a press statement sent to our correspondent by the spokesman of the Seme command, Hussaini Abdullahi, there was a change of baton at the Seme Area Command over the weekend as Compt Uba handed over the mantle of leadership of the Command to Deputy Comptroller Chedi Dalha Wada in acting capacity.

Comptroller Uba in his farewell address, wished the acting Area Controller a successful tenure and advised him to remain firm and resolute in decision making so as to effectively discharge the new responsibility bestowed upon him.

He also prayed for God’s guidance and intervention throughout his tenure. In a brief remarks, the new Customs Area Controller disclosed that he will remain resolute in effectively enforcing the core mandate of the service.

He further solicited the support and cooperation of the Officers and Men of the Command, stakeholders and sister security agencies so as to effectively manage the affairs of the command towards suppression of smuggling to the barest minimum, maximum revenue collections and facilitation of trade.

The new Customs boss finally pledged to consolidate and improve on the achievements of his predecessor for effective service delivery.
