The National President of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, has joined well-wishers across Nigeria’s maritime community in congratulating Hajia Bola Muse, the National Treasurer of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), as she marks another birthday today.

In a warm felicitation message, Otunba Ogunojemite described Hajia Muse as one of the most enduring and impactful figures in Nigeria’s maritime landscape, whose contributions to the industry span over three decades of dedicated service, professional excellence and selfless advocacy.

“On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of APFFLON, I congratulate our dear Hajia Bola Muse on this joyful occasion of her birthday. She is not just a colleague in this industry, she is an institution. Her work ethic, her philanthropy and her passion for this sector are the stuff of legend,” Otunba Ogunojemite said.

With a professional track record spanning over 30 years, Hajia Muse chairs Bomarah Investment Limited as its CEO and has established herself as a major player in Nigeria’s maritime industry, with deep interests in cargo handling, haulage, aviation, oil and gas, and tourism.

Beyond the balance sheets of association management, Hajia Muse has carved a formidable legacy as an advocate for women’s participation in the maritime sector. She served as President of Women in Maritime Africa (WIMA), Nigeria Chapter, a role that positioned her as a voice for gender inclusion in an industry where, by global statistics, women remain severely underrepresented.

Her philanthropic endeavours have been equally remarkable. Through the Bomarah Foundation, Hajia Muse has used her birthday as an annual platform for community empowerment, with past celebrations featuring vocational training programmes and the distribution of working tools to persons with disabilities, widows and the less privileged, drawing high-profile government officials and civil society leaders to bear witness to her commitment to social welfare.

Otunba Ogunojemite in his Birthday tribute states that the industry owed much of its social fabric to leaders like Hajia Muse who understand that sector development goes beyond cargo volumes and policy documents.

“Hajia Bola Muse represents the best of what our industry can produce, a professional who has not only built a successful business empire but has consistently given back to the community, supported young people and advanced the cause of women in maritime. She is a role model in every sense of the word”

“As she marks this special day, APFFLON prays that Almighty God grants her continued good health, long life, and the sustained energy to keep contributing to this great sector. We celebrate you, Hajia. Happy Birthday,” Ogunojemite added.
