The President of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, has extended warm felicitations to the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

In a congratulatory message released in Lagos, Otunba Ogunojemite lauded the Customs Chief for his transformative leadership and the significant milestones achieved by the Service since he took the helm in June 2023.
He described the Comptroller-General as a trailblazer whose vision has repositioned the Nigeria Customs Service as a more efficient, technology-driven, and stakeholder-friendly institution.

According to the APFFLON President, the milestone comes at a time when the Service is witnessing unprecedented revenue growth and a renewed focus on trade facilitation, a key pillar of the federal government’s Renewed Hope agenda.

“On behalf of the entire membership of APFFLON, I join the nation and the global maritime community in celebrating an astute administrator and a dedicated patriot.
CG Adeniyi’s tenure has been characterized by an open-door policy and a genuine commitment to addressing the challenges faced by freight forwarders and logistics providers.” Ogunojemite stated

The APFFLON President specifically commended the Comptroller-General for several strategic initiatives, including the steady automation of Customs processes which has reduced human interface and improved the ease of doing business.

“We pray that the Almighty grants him continued wisdom, robust health, and the strength to steer the NCS toward even more remarkable achievements in the years ahead,” the statement concluded.
