Access Bank Restores Customs Transaction Services Following Temporary Glitches

Access Bank Plc has announced that the temporary glitches experienced in its services by licensed customs agents have now been resolved.

Clearing agents at the Lagos ports had expressed their frustrations on Tuesday, saying that the service downtime led to cargoes being trapped at the port while demurrages accrue.

In a press statement issued by the bank on Thursday to all its customers and general public, it assured that the glitches have since been resolved on Wednesday 12th, 2025.

“Access Bank Plc wishes to inform its esteemed customers and the public of a temporary technical issue that occurred between November 10 and 12, 2025, which affected the processing of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) transactions via the ACCESS PAY (B’ODOGWU) platform.

During this period, a connectivity disruption between Access Bank’s network and the Nigeria Customs Service network temporarily hindered the successful processing of Customs payments and related transactions.

“The issue was fully resolved yesterday, November 12, 2025, and normal service operations have since been completely restored. Customers can now process Customs-related payments and transactions seamlessly through Access Bank channels.

“Access Bank regrets the inconvenience experienced by customers as a result of this disruption.

“The Bank acknowledges that the downtime led to significant delays and concerns among some customers, particularly regarding potential demurrage charges.

“It reiterates commitment to ensuring service reliability and customer satisfaction, assuring that proactive measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence.

“Access Bank appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers during the period of disruption and thanks them for their continued trust and partnership” the statement read
