GENDER EQUALITY: Prince Wale Cole Appoints First Female Coordinator, Baruwa Oyindamola At Tin Can Port Car Park ‘C’

The Executive Chairman of Tin Can Island Chapter of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Prince Olawale Cole has displayed his respect for gender equality in his administration by approving the appointment of Mrs Baruwa Oyindamola as Coordinator of the highly delicate Tin Can Island Port populalr Car Park C.
This is the first time in the history of unionism in ANLCA that a female is appointed to head the Car Park C, given its very important and strategic nature to the Customa Command and to the association.
While introducing the Coordinator alongside the Special Duty Coordinator of Car Park C, Mr.Yusuf Yinka Nurudeen to members at the Park recently, Prince Olawale Cole appealed to all, to give their support for the new Coordinator to succeed.
He also urged all national officers operating at the Car Park to assist by giving direction for the Coordinator to succeed.
“For the first time in the history of unionism among ANLCA members, a female has been appointed as Coordinator of Tin Can Port Car Park C.
“We want you people to give her all the support because if she succeeds, you also succeed. Any operational challenges that you have, please approach her.
We also have the Assistant Coordinator who is a youth, this means that the youths are progressing and we want the elders to give them the required support.
You guys are familiar with our National leader, Riliwan Amuni whose constituency is based here, as well as national leaders, they are to give assistance and ensure that our Coordinator succeeds.
“If you feel that there is something that is not going on well, we have Chairmen of Committees working under the office of the Chairman.
We have the Port Operations Committee headed by Alhaji Kabiru Anifowise, Chairman of Customs Relations Committee, Tope Fatimehin, Chairman committee on dispute resolution, Alhaji KK.
“Please always feel free, if you don’t want to talk to them, you can always call my number, that is if you feel that the Coordinators are not performing, however, employ you to give the coordinators your full support because the leaders we have in ANLCA today, they all started from somewhere.
“In my regime, I am bringing a female Coordinator to Car Park C and I want you to support her to succeed, if you feel her experience is not enough, go to the leaders and complain to them, if you feel you are not comfortable with the leaders, feel free to call me directly” he concluded.
Responding, the newly appointed Coordinator, Baruwa Oyindamola promised to guide and protect the name of ANLCA in all operations at the port, and to maintain the association integrity.
She promised to make the popular Car Park C a better place for all freight forwarders.
