Barge Operators Visit MWUN, Seeks Beneficial Collaboration
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, recently played host to the Executives of Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) at the Union’s Secretariat in Osho Drive, Olodi – Apapa, Lagos.

According to a press signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN on Monday, the Barge Operators were led by the Vice President of the Association, Mr. Hyginus Chichebem Ndukwe on the courtesy visit.
“During the interactive session, Chichebem said the visit was not just only a courtesy one, but to congratulate the newly elected President-General, Comrade Bunu, over his landslide election victory, and also to familiarize with him with the view to seeking a beneficial collaboration with the Maritime Workers Union on various areas of common interest in the Maritime Sector.
“The BOAN Vice President also highlighted the Association’s areas of interest, saying that the Operators are ready and willing to do business with the Union believing that Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria is capable of accommodating BOAN, given its magnitude and mode of operations in the country’s maritime industry.
“Comrade Bunu who gave the Barge Executives a rousing welcome promised to do his best within the confines of the Union asserting that MWUN is always open to genuine collaboration at all times, especially within the industrial sector.
“He thanked the BOAN executivesfor their visit and promised them a good working relationship as soon as the said proposal is hatched” the statement read
